I am also an expert and writer on 19th and 20th century jewellery. I wrote the chapters Art Deco Furniture and Art Deco Ceramics for Judith Miller’s book ’20th Century Design’ and have vetted the decorative arts content of the Antiques Price Guide.

Art Deco was the design movement for a new world. The streamlined shapes, innovative materials and international motifs are now iconic. We specialise in fine quality pieces from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as offering an Art Deco Contemporary Collection of bespoke furniture.

Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Trifari, Monet, Kenneth Jay Lane, Vivienne Westwood, Zandra Rhodes…vintage jewellery makes the pulse race faster…it is often unique and fabulous. As an editor fascinated by history, I have created and trademarked the Suffragette (R) Jewellery Collection, which will raise funds for important causes. 

In January 2021, I am launching the first pieces in The Bloomsbury Collection – colourful, 1920s style necklaces that will feature rare Venetian beads. 

I am proud to stock contemporary one-off pieces and limited edition jewellery by Malcom Appleby MBE, a world-renowned Silversmith-Engraver.

Arts & Crafts Movement and Art Nouveau are our passions. They were progressive design movements that informed the 20^th century and there is so much to learn from the philosophical and social messages imbued in every piece.

We also stock interesting items from earlier times when we can’t resist them, which is quite often. Everything has a story to tell.
