Desirable Designs UK specialises in fine quality 20th Century Design including Art Deco. I search for the rare and the unique, as well as for limited edition pieces of artistic merit. I offer a valuations service and will sell pieces for you if required.
As a sustainability, fashion & beauty editor for leading magazines and contributor to the Antiques Price Guides and books on Art Deco, I bring a historical perspective to my work.
I also collaborate and support charitable organisations, designers, writers and small business owners through my trademarks and websites: Changemaker Media and Suffragette and contribute to Green Britain TV, a platform which celebrates eco innovations across the UK. I am also an expert and writer on 19th and 20th century jewellery. I wrote the chapters Art Deco Furniture and Art Deco Ceramics for Judith Miller’s book ’20th Century Design’ and have vetted the decorative arts content of the Antiques Price Guide.

Art Deco was the design movement for a new world. The streamlined shapes, innovative materials and international motifs are now iconic. We specialise in fine quality pieces from the 1920s and 1930s, as well as offering an Art Deco Contemporary Collection of bespoke furniture.

Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Trifari, Monet, Kenneth Jay Lane, Vivienne Westwood, Zandra Rhodes…vintage jewellery makes the pulse race faster…it is often unique and fabulous. As an editor fascinated by history, I have created and trademarked the Suffragette (R) Jewellery Collection, which will raise funds for important causes.

Arts & Crafts Movement and Art Nouveau are our passions. They were progressive design movements that informed the 20th century and there is so much to learn from the philosophical and social messages imbued in every piece.
We also stock interesting items from earlier times when we can’t resist them, which is quite often. Everything has a story to tell.
